Weekend wrap up 6.7.19

8 Jul 2019 by Rebecca Plozza

It was a hard weekend of football with injuries striking all our teams over the weekend.

While we celebrated a milestone with Ash Hamer playing his 200th Senior game (and 250th Club game) (congratulations Ash!) Berwick was too strong for our Reserves, Seniors and Netballers on Saturday.

Our Women’s team took an easy win over Upwey on Sunday, but it came at a cost of two of our players sustaining serious injuries.

We wish all our injured players speedy recoveries and can’t wait to get you back to the Club!

CHANGE TO TRAINING AND DINNER THIS WEEK

Our Seniors, Reserves, Women’s and Vets teams are all training on Wednesday night this week, with the Netballers training on Thursday night.

Dinner will be on Wednesday, with Roast Beef and Veggies on the menu ($10 a plate).

And Joker Poker is up to a crazy $2,000!! There aren’t many cards left to choose from, so this may be the week it goes off!

GAMES THIS WEEK

Our Seniors, Reserves and Netballers have a break this weekend with the Vic Country Interleague being played.

Our Women’s team take on Yarra Junction at home on Friday night (game starts at 7.15pm) – it would be great to see as many supporters there cheering them on!

MID SEASON BALL – SATURDAY 20 JULY 2019

If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, please see Tayla or Beck on Wednesday night or head to our events page and get your tickets through the link.

It is a great cause that the Club is supporting and there are so many amazing prizes up for auction and to be raffled on the night. We also have the Rotary Bus organized so you don’t have to worry about getting home!

SPONSORS

This week we want to thank the following sponsors for their support this season:

- Healesville Chiropractic Clinic
- Yarra Valley Quality Meat Supply
- Above Board Plastering

It is important that we support our sponsors so shop local first.

Go Bloods!
