Weekend wrap up 22.6.19
26 Jun 2019 by Rebecca Plozza
Well Bloods family, we’ve made it halfway through the season and we’re still standing despite the highs and lows our Club has faced so far.
Credit must go to:
- our hard working volunteers who make sure that each week we have teams to take the field and court and the facilities are clean and in working order;
- our players for their determination and commitment each week and leaving everything out on the field and court;
- our sponsors for their continuous support over the year; and finally
- our faithful supporters who cheer on our teams every week, rain hail or shine.
The weekend saw our Seniors, Reserves and A & B Grade Netballers taking a break with a bye, leaving C & D Grade Netballers getting an easy win over Berwick Springs and our U/17s getting the win over Warburton.
While the scoreboard showed an easy win for our Women’s team on Sunday over Yarra Junction, the game was anything but easy.
THURSDAY NIGHT DINNER
The Thursday night specialists are cooking up some delicious and tender steaks, chips and salad, all for $10!
And believe it or not, but Joker Poker is still going!!! Could someone be going home with $1,900 this week? Make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to win.
UPCOMING GAMES
It’s a full weekend for our Club this week.
On Saturday, our Seniors, Reserves and Netballers take on Upwey at Upwey.
On Saturday night (5.30pm) our Women’s team take on Belgrave at Belgrave.
And finally on Sunday (at 3.00pm) our Vets take a trip to Narre Warren for their last game in the home and away season (they have a bye in the last round).

If you haven’t got your ticket yet, there’s still time! It’s going to be a fantastic night, so grab a date (or just a friend) and get ready to party!
