Welcome to Winter! All our players and supporters braved the cold (and mostly wet) Saturday in Olinda, Belgrave and at home.

While our Seniors, Reserves and Netballers fought bravely in the trying conditions at Olinda, the win was just out of reach for them. Our Women’s team travelled to Belgrave and managed to keep the home team scoreless while taking home the win. Our Vets started out slow at home (only one point was scored in the first quarter by us), but piled on the goals and took the win against Gembrook Cockatoo.

The Vets hosted the iPod Shuffle on Saturday, and it was really great to see so many players and supporters back in the Clubrooms. Congratulations goes to Liam Daly who had the last song of the night, with special mention to Shane White who had two of the last three songs!

A huge thank you to Graham Mende and John Donkin who manned the bar on the night – you guys did a fantastic job!

THURSDAY NIGHT DINNER

This week’s meal is coming to you from India – Curry (Red & Green) and Rice.

We are also doing party pies & chips for our Junior Bloods – $5 a plate.

GAMES THIS WEEK

After running all over the Valley last week, all our teams are at home this week.

Our Women’s team kick off the weekend, taking on Yarra Junction Football & Netball Club on Friday 10 May at 7.30pm. We’ll be cooking up some delicious sausages on the BBQ so come on down and support our team. We also want to invite all the Junior girl’s teams from Healesville Junior Football Club to come along and cheer loudly for our Women’s team.

Saturday sees the Reserves, Seniors and Netballers take on Narre Warren. Our U/17s Netballers take to the court at 10.30am and the Reserves step on the field at 12pm.

PAST PLAYERS REUNION

This Saturday we are hosting our past players from 12pm in the Clubrooms and we can’t wait to reminisce about past “9’s” premierships! Hot finger food, cold drinks and a roaring fire will be on in the Clubrooms.

MOTHER’S DAY RAFFLE

Ali Bryan, Kylie Rowe and our Women’s team have done a wonderful job in organising our Mother’s Day raffle this weekend. Some of the fantastic prizes include a 30 minute joy flight for 3 people around the beautiful Yarra Valley, voucher from Healesville Hotel, a hand made woven bag from Bali and wine from local wineries.

Tickets are on sale from Friday night, with the winner announced at half time of the Seniors on Saturday.

ROCHFORD CAR PARKING – SUNDAY 12 MAY 2019

We are still searching for volunteers to help with car parking at Rochfords on Sunday between 10am – 12pm and 12pm – 2pm. If you can help out, even if it’s for an hour, please let Beck or Greg know ASAP.
